I ask everyone who enters my office to come fragrance-free. This is to keep the office accessible for my clients with autoimmune disease, migraines or any other condition that includes sensitivities. I need this accommodation for myself, as well. This means:
  • Making sure any products that you put on and don’t rinse off, such as lotion, deodorant, or hair styling product, are either specifically labeled fragrance-free or are washed off (not just rinsed), even if it’s from a previous day.
  • Wearing clothing laundered without dryer sheets or fabric softener.
  • Making sure you have not worn cologne or perfume in the previous 5 days. If it is already fewer than 5 days before your appointment, I would need to ask you to take some specific measures, which we can talk about on the phone.
  • Including “natural” fragrances, like lavender, amber, or rosewater, as well as synthetic ones, in your preparations.

Thank you for your understanding. Please do feel free to call me at (510) 551-9539 with any questions you might have.
